2009 FBS Sleeper Player: Alberto Callaspo

Team: Kansas City Royals
Bats: Left
Position: SS/2B

Alberto Callaspo made a big impression in his 200+ at bat stint. In it he batted over .300 and stole a couple of bases. What we liked the best was that he was able to maintain solid hitting and get on-base regularly. If Callaspo wins the starting job in 2009 and we assume he will, expect a fantasy player who will keep a decent average and still some bases for you. Callaspo has zero power, so don't expect home runs. If the Royals let him run, the 25-year old rookie can steal 20 bases.

Prediction: .285 average, 2 Hrs, 42 RBI, 70 runs, 16 SB
